… online data backup solutions and storage

admin2 On September - 13 - 2012

Google has recently shared some information about malicious activity on the Internet. One of the surprising facts they revealed is that every day they flag 9500 new malicious web sites.

These sites could either be innocent sites that have been hacked and are being used to launch malware or phishing attacks, or they could be sites built by cybercriminals.

Google provides built-in protection for Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Twelve to fourteen million warnings are shown daily to Internet users who are conducting Google search queries. If you do see a warning pop up, please don’t go to the flagged site.

Once a site has been cleansed of malicious links the Google warning is soon lifted.

Despite Google’s best efforts, the Internet is still riddled with hazardous sites. Please use caution and common sense on your web adventures.
