… online data backup solutions and storage

A Mesa, Arizona couple had their laptop stolen, which is not news. Derrick and Christianna Doba decided to do something about it, which is news. The couple decided to play detective.

First of all they filed a police report. Next Derrick Doba logged onto his account and was able to remotely access the stolen laptop.

“The other individual on the other end didn’t really know what was happening and we started fighting over control of the cursor,” Mr. Doba said.

He then wrote a note to the thief demanding the return of the computer, but then the thief logged off.

A few days later the Dobas discovered that the thief had uploaded photos onto the laptop, including one of himself. The Mesa police are investigating and are, of course, using the photos to help them find the criminal.

The Dobas may or may not get their computer back, and if they do their files may or may not be on it. Computer theft is big business, and people are wise to back up their documents somewhere else.

CollectionMine’s backup services allow you to back up digital documents easily and affordably onto a server in our own world-class data centre.
